Year 4 Lewis are taught by Mrs T. Eggleston and Miss B. Fryer

Welcome to Class 4!

We are a class of 32 pupils. We are a friendly class who are kind, smiley and hardworking. We are very inquisitive and asks lots of questions. We always work our hardest so that we can be the best that we can be.

Who helps us to learn?

''I am Mrs Eggleston. I teach Class 4. I have two grown up children and a dog called Dennis. I've been teaching for 28 years and love helping children to achieve their full potential.'

I am Miss Broadbent and I am very lucky to be able to support the children in Class 4 on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning. When I am not at Mosley, I spend all my time with my 8 year old Daughter and our dog called Doug.

Information about our Class:

  • PE days are Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure earrings can be removed safely and longer hair is tied back. Please come to school in your smart PE kit on your PE day.
  • In Class 4, children are responsible for changing their reading books when they have completed them. Please remember to record home reading in the reading diary so that your child can achieve their rainbow badges.

  • At home reads are counted on a Wednesday morning by Miss Broadbent or Miss Twells.
  • Spellings are handed out on a Friday and checked the following Friday. Please practise the spellings in the spelling homework book or on Spelling Shed. Bring your spelling book to school on a Friday so that the spelling test can be completed in it.
  • In Class 4, times tables tests are held on Fridays.  Children can practise the tables set they are on in any way that helps them. All children have a TT Rock Stars log in and we encourage them to practise as much as possible. We aim for all children to achieve a rock status of ‘Breakthrough Artist’ on Times Table Rock Stars, as this means that they can answer multiplication questions in under 6 seconds. This is the requirement of the Multiplication Check, which the children will sit in the Summer Term.
  • Arrival time is between 8:40am and 8:50am. Collection time is: 3:25pm
  • We have our violin lessons on a Monday afternoon. Please bring your violin to school on Monday morning, it will come home that day to allow practise throughout the week.
