The Mosley 4 R's and Values

Our School Motto is 'Be the best that you can be!'

Working in partnership with pupils, staff, parents and the JTMAT, our school promotes a secure and happy environment, in which each child can achieve very well in all areas of development -  physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.

We have worked collaboratively in school to define our expectations for behaviour and attitudes, whilst learning and at play.

We have a clear set of school rules. At the beginning of each school year we redefine these in assembly altogether. Each class then reflects on what they mean for their classes too.

Whole School Rules and Values

Our Whole School Rules are very simple. We call them the Mosley 4 R's -

                                                                  Ready to learn

                                                                  Respectful

                                                                  Responsible

Restorative ( if things go a little wrong!)

Children and staff know these well and they are very much lived out around school. Children will happily talk to staff and each other about the Mosley 4R's. It is a joy to hear how positive the children are about ' being the best they can be!'

We consulted staff, children, governors and our wider community about which values are important and which values we should have at the centre of our school community.

Happiness, Resilience, Acceptance, Independence, Kindness and Honesty are our final values.

We focus on these in our assemblies, around school and link lots of our rewards, including Mrs Rowe's Golden Book awards to our values. This is very popular!

When you visit our school, we hope that you can spot these in all that we do!
