Year 6 Morpurgo are taught by Mrs G. Claxton and Mrs G. Day
Welcome to Class 6!
We are a class of 31 amazing pupils. We are kind, friendly and welcoming. We are a team who work together to be the best we can be! Find us in our classroom (sometimes outdoors), ready for learning, being responsible and rising to a challenge.
Who helps us to learn?
"I am Mrs Claxton and I teach Year 6 at The Mosley Academy. It is a privilege to work in such a wonderful school, as part of an incredible team, teaching the most amazing children! I especially love teaching reading, writing and art. I am fascinated by how our brains work and how we learn! I love keeping up to date with the latest research in education.
I have been working in primary education for over 16 years and have had the pleasure of teaching every year group. Before moving to The Mosley Academy, I worked as a primary deputy headteacher. After 8 years in this role, I made the decision to return to the classroom to focus on what I love - teaching and learning!"
"I am Mrs Day and I love my time in Year 6 as I get to work with the most enthusiastic group of children who are always curious about our learning! My favourite part of teaching is helping children to understand tricky ideas and seeing how proud they are when they've been the best that they can be! Year 6 also know that I love a sing song in class!"
''I am Mrs McLoughlin. I support the children in Class 6 with their learning . I have 3 grown up boys and I am a musician. When I am not at Mosley, I teach music which I am very passionate about.''
